A project where craftsmanship, planning and trust come together. Last week, Kortmann Art Packers & Shippers played a key role in preparing the sculptures of Beelden aan Zee for transport, marking the start of an important transition for the museum.

Every transport begins with careful preparation. Each sculpture was assessed, packed and handled according to the highest standards in fine art logistics. This ensures that every work is protected throughout each stage of the process.

On Friday May 1, the sculptures were carefully lifted by crane and loaded into our truck. Operations like these require close coordination and precision, where timing, communication and expertise come together.

The transport is part of a larger development. The museum is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and sustainability upgrade, both indoors and outdoors. A new entrance area with café and museum shop is being created, and the building is being equipped with solutions such as solar panels and heat pumps.

At the same time, the outdoor areas are being transformed into a green environment where art and nature will come together.

Next month, the sculptures will be returned to their location, ahead of the museum’s reopening on June 27.
