2025 marks a significant milestone for Kortmann Art Packers & Shippers. Our new construction plan in Hoofddorp has officially been approved, and we are ready to get started. This expansion will enable us to serve our customers even better and aligns seamlessly with our sustainability ambitions.
What does the expansion entail?
The expansion will take place on the northern side of our current building and is divided into three parts: phases 4a, 4b, and 4c. These plans include:
- 4a: An extension of the existing building with six floors and a height of approximately 23.8 meters.
- 4b: A smaller expansion with five floors, a height of approximately 16 meters, and an area of 20 by 20 meters.
- 4c: An intermediate building with dimensions like phase 4b.
Together, phase 4 adds more than 6,000 m² of floor space, bringing the total storage area of Kortmann to well over 25,000 m². The façades of the new additions will feature solar panels, just like the earlier phase 3 expansion (Solart). Additionally, some façades will be constructed with a nature-inclusive design. Natural vegetation on the façades and in the surrounding areas will improve air quality, enhance biodiversity, and help reduce heat formation.
This expansion creates more space for high-quality, long-term storage of art and transport materials. Sustainable solutions, such as PV (solar) panels, heat pumps, and energy storage batteries, will further strengthen our carbon-neutral footprint.
A Sustainable Future
Kortmann remains committed to innovation and sustainability. The realization of phase 4 has been designed with flexibility, allowing us to adapt to market needs. Whether the project is executed as a single construction phase or in three parts, our focus will always be on quality and efficiency.
With this expansion, we are better prepared to meet the growing demand for our storage and transport services. This project underscores our dedication to a future-proof and sustainable business approach.
